FERAL HORSES

Feral Horses on the Navajo Nation

The Navajo Nation Department of Fish & Wildlife is working to reduce the impact that feral horses are having on Navajo Nation's wildlife and natural ecosystems.​

Do you want to organize a Equine Rescue Operation round-up?

​

​Steps:

1.) Communicate with your chapter house in order to approve a resolution supporting Equine Removal. 

​

2.) Your chapter or grazing official will then need to request, in writing, for the Navajo Nation Department of Agriculture's assistance (email, sent by mail, and/or hand written).

​

3.) A 10 day notice must be posted.

​

Note: If the individual has a RMU or the selected land is withdrawn, a resolution is not required and the Navajo Nation Department of Agriculture can work directly with the individual requesting.
